1. Preheat the oven to 180°C top and bottom heat. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Tip: Brush the baking tray with a little butter first, then the baking paper will adhere better and not shift. Beat the eggs, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and 1 pinch of salt with the beaters of a hand mixer until foamy. Combine flour and baking powder in a second bowl, fold in and mix with the buttermilk until smooth.
2. Divide the dough evenly among four bowls, coloring three each in a different color. Leave the fourth dough neutral. Divide the four portions of dough alternately on the baking sheet. Place in the oven and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
3. Sieve the powdered sugar into a bowl and mix with the lemon juice. Spread the icing on the cake, decorate with colored sugar sprinkles and let dry before cutting.
