Upcycling in spring: We have brought you a cute DIY craft idea.
The cress bunnies made of old tetrapacks are an eye-catcher on the windowsill and provide the extra topping on your bread.
This is what you need for the cress bunnies:
- Soil
- Cress seed
- An empty milk or juice carton
- Scissors to cut out the desired shape
- Colorful pens to decorate the bunnies
Here's how it works:
Step 1: Cut your well-washed empty packaging just below the top edge of the tetrapack.
Step 2: Remove the printed layer of your packaging.
Step 3: Use a dark crayon to draw your desired bunny and then carefully cut it out with scissors.
Step 4: Customize your bunny. For example give him a cute facial expression with different colors.
Step 5: Fill the soil into the designed patch and add the cress seeds
Step 6: Pour the soil with a little water and you're done!
Tip:
Make sure that your cress gets enough sunlight. After 2 to 3 days it already germinates and after a week it is ready for harvest.
We wish you a lot of fun with re-crafting!
